Almost Writers Club
A small community of entrepreneurs who can build
~ together ~ a consistent and rewarding
writing ~ polishing ~ posting practice
Arrggh – we need to get ourselves out there more.
We need to show up so our right people can find us, get to know us & see that we’re here for them
We need some consistent visibility, because it takes way too long to build a business when we remain everybody’s “best kept secret”
It’s really, really hard to ‘just do it’ week after week after week, even when you know it’s good for business
We have important stuff to say, and a particular panache the world needs right now
This is about more than *just* visibility and lead nurturing… it’s about saying your piece, getting your message out there, spreading kindness and valuable information, helping people who may never become clients, but who still need to hear from you right now
The thing is… blogging.
How often, before you even hit post or publish, do you…
Struggle to get clear ideas out of your head and onto the page
Wonder if what you’re writing makes sense
Wonder if what you’re writing is even interesting to anybody else
Wish you could write with more personality, and, to be specific, YOUR personality
Edit endlessly, rewriting and rewriting and rewriting, then getting frustrated by how long one post takes
Get impatient, get mad, then post something out of sheer frustration, but you don’t love it, and don’t promote it, so…. You know, what was the point of all THAT?
And here’s the problem with outsourcing
No other writer is you.
Nobody else knows what you know, has lived what you’ve lived, or sees the world through your eyes. Your clients want to hear from you, not from someone else googling ideas while they try to mimic your voice. Even if your brief is perfect, your ghostwriter is top-notch and your system is relentless, something real will get lost in translation.
Expressing yourself in your own words is the most courageous, creative, connective gift you can give to your clients, your business, and yourself.
AI never had its heart broken.
Tools have their uses — I have nothing against spellcheck, Grammarly, or your thesaurus. But tools tend to act like, well, tools when they’re asked to create. A song, a smell, a quote, a problem doesn’t remind AI of… anything. AI has no lived, or loved, experiences from which to draw amazing, original and wise insights. That’s what we need you for.
One of the beautiful things of running a business is getting to express yourself fully and honestly. We need you tell us, in your own words, what all this means.

“Thank you, Kate! You are a word wizard, and I am forever grateful to you for helping me to get out from under the rock where I was hiding and start writing actual blogs and publishing them. Now I actually enjoy the process…who would have thought?”
Kelly Smales, Core7 Coaching
what we’ll do
Come up with ideas
If you know what you want to write about… great! If you don’t, it’s okay too, because I’m showing up with prompts, resources and feedback. We can discuss what’s on and off-brand, what readers find interesting, and how to beat writer’s block.
Write together, every other week
Just 40 minutes, to uncork our creativity. We’ll sit together in our zoom room, and write. Let it flow. Find the gaps. Develop the thread. Once you’ve started, you can decide to keep writing past the 40-minute-mark or rest and finish later.
Review & edit, Polish & post
Send me your draft posts, and I’ll offer ideas, edits and annotations to sharpen it up and strengthen your style.
No more second-guessing or endless editing; you’ll have a proud-to-post piece every 2nd week.
Drop in with Qs
Got questions? Need a catchier headline? Wondering how to tie in your call-to-action, or segue into sales? Drop into our zoom room. I’ll be there, eager to answer.
Stockpile resources
How long is a blog? Where can I find more ideas? Are there easy ways to add my personality, so I don’t sound like everybody else when I write? The questions I hear most often, I’ve already answered. Find a package of pretty little tips & treats inside our club.

“Kate, I can't say enough about the support you provided for my writing... The structure and editing support of the Almost Writers Club gave me the push I needed to finish the content for my website. Thank you!”
Susan Howard, The Crossing at Grasslands
